Kamran Shahabi

Partner

Kam represents employees in all aspects of California employment and labor law, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under FEHA, wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour violations, and related workplace disputes. He handles matters at every stage, from pre-litigation demands through trial and arbitration.

Before building his plaintiff-side practice, Kam spent years defending employers, insurance carriers, and Fortune 500 companies in employment and complex civil litigation. That experience is now one of his clients’ greatest advantages. Having sat on the other side of the table, he understands how employers evaluate exposure, how carriers set reserves and authorize resolution, and how defense counsel builds a file for trial. He uses that insight to anticipate the defense, and position cases for maximum recovery, whether through negotiated resolution or verdict.

Kam’s background also includes substantial experience with insurance coverage issues across professional liability, general liability, D&O, and other lines, which gives him a distinct edge in employment matters where coverage, bad faith, and policy limit decisions drive case outcomes. The Los Angeles Superior Court and the United States District Court for the Central District of California have each appointed Kam to their mediator panels, reflecting the neutrality, reasonableness, and case-evaluation judgment he brings to every matter.
